Shop by need / Very dry skin
Why lotion may not be enough for very dry skin.
Most lotion is largely water, and water leaves. No water is listed on our jars. Shea butter sits on dry skin and keeps its moisture in, and the label calls that soft, smooth skin.

About three weeks after delivery we ask one question: What did you notice, and where did you use it? Every answer lands here as written, good or not.
From the counter.
- Why skin feels drier in winter.Cold air, heated rooms and hot showers can take water out of skin all day long.
- Lotion, cream, balm or butter? They are all moisturizers. They do not behave the same way.
- The three-minute window after a shower. One of the simplest changes in a dry-skin routine has nothing to do with what you buy. It is when you apply it.
- When dry skin isn't just dry skin.Dryness is common. Splitting, bleeding, persistent itch and recurrent rash deserve more attention.
