East African shea, on a list a pharmacist kept short.

Golden is the moisture balm in the black jar. It begins with East African shea and a deliberately short list of ingredients. The label says it comforts dry, rough, and sensitive skin and seals in moisture for soft, smooth skin, and we will not say more than the label does.

Skin does not need more ingredients because the label has room for them. Four supporting ingredients sit around the shea, with one job each: oat kernel flour, rice bran extract, hydrolyzed soy protein, and a light essential oil blend.

It is a balm, not a lotion. A lotion is mostly water. This warms between your fingers and stays where you put it. The jar is black, the lid is plain gold, and it is meant to live by the sink.
